It's not gonna be the same again

 


Divya, don't just sit there. We have a lot of work to do, said Rekha

Divya didn't say anything. 

Divya, are you listening to me? Asked Rekha little angrily 

I am not Divya, I am Dinesh, shouted Dinesh 

You like it or not, you are divya till your sister gets married, said Rekha 

Divya sat silently. 

I didn't force you to agree to be the bridesmaid for your sister, said Rekha 

Divya knows it's the truth. When his sister asked him to be her bridesmaid, he agreed without knowing what it actually means. He realised what she meant, after the wedding shopping. He wanted to back out, but his mom didn't allow him. Saying, he might hurt his sister on her wedding day. 

It's 3 days wedding, it's just the day 1, his mom dressed him in a saree with all the necessary jewellery and stuff. He doesn't want to go out now but his mom and other ladies forced him out of the room. 

Most of the men were starring at him. They all heard he is gonna be the bridesmaid but they didn't believe it . Now they have to believe it. Divya didn't ruse his head. He just stayed with beside his sister and not making any eye contact with men. 

He wanted to cry. His family invited everyone. He invited all his friends and families. His friends mom's were teasing him all day, asking him to wear sarees occasionally during festivals. Few even asked him to marry their son. His mom is enjoying it a lot. 

On the final day, he was dressed in a silk saree. But it's entirely different today, before he was dressed in a saree and stayed in the room with woman but now he is out, everyone is watching him, since he is behind his sister in a saree. 


Just like his mom told him, Divya kept on smiling. Others misunderstood it. There is already a rumor, saying "Dinesh always wanted to be a girl and now his family members agreed to it and he will be living as a woman from now on". 

After the marriage everyone congratulated his sister and many prised divya for his courage to COME OUT and they will support him. His hugged him and whispered "I have asked mom to give you all my dresses". He didn't understand anything. He wanted to say something but no one is allowing him to talk. While he was in confusion. His family and grooms family made some arrangements to go the temples in India. While his sister and her husband would go the honeymoon. After everyone left. His mom asked him to get in the car and he sat between his mom and his sister mother in law. He didn't notice the bags behind. Of course he is gonna wear sarees for few more days or may be even longer.

 The day before Diwali, as expected Sumanth was shaving his beard. As he was fully concentrated, he didn't notice Neha standing near him. Just when he was shaving near the mustache, Neha pulled his hand a little. She immediately said sorry but the damage is already done.  When Sumanth looked in the mirror, he was stunned, half of his mustache is gone. Kumari went to her new neighbors home with a box of sweets as a Diwali gift.  As Kumari rang the door bell, Jaya opened the door and welcomed Kumari inside with a smile.  As they were talking about few things,  "I saw your daughter drawing a rangoli in the morning. You have raised her very well, the she handled her saree and drew the rangoli is very skillful", said Kumari praising Jaya's daughter.  "Thank you but actually she is not daughter biologically.
