Looks good on anyone

 Shreya looked at her husband, Deepak closely. 

You are right, its looks good on anyone including you too, said Shreya with a smile 

Anjali, her sister in law, nodded her head in agreement. 

OK, now both of you stand together, I will take a pic, said Anjali 

Shreya looked at her husband sternly asking him smile. 


Shreya stood behind her husband with a hand on his shoulder. Deepak gave a smile, like he was asked. 

Deepak noticed Anjali was doing something on her phone after taking the picture. He started to panic and asked Anjali about it. 

It's nothing, I just sent mom your pic, said Anjali with a wicked smile 

What?? Why did you do that? Asked Deepak 

Relax, nothing is gonna happen, said Anjali and she got a call from her mom 

"yes mom, that Deepak "

" I know, he looks so good in the saree "

They spoke for 30 min 

Mom said you are looking good in the saree, said Anjali 

He picked up his phone and called his mom 

Deepak - mom, I just said that saree will look good on anyone. I didn't mean it will look good me. 

Mom - anyway, it is looking good on you, even your mother in law also agreed with me. 

Deepak - what? How does she knows how? 

Mom - actually, she is in our home. And I showed her your pic when Anjali sent me. 

Deepak was shocked, all the ladies in the family have seen his pic in the saree. 

Me - mom please delete the image before anyone can see it. 

Mom - Delete it??  Actually both me and your mother in law are going to photo studio to frame it. I want to frame it big, so I can hang it on our Hall along with out other photos. 

Deepak doesn't know what to say. He knows he can't stop it, he knows his mother in law will take copy of it. 

Mom - oh, I almost forgot. For diwali me and your mother in law will visit you. I have already told Anjali to select matching saree for 5 of us. 

Deepak was shocked. Its getting out of his control. 

Mom - one more thing, Anjali told me you wanted to have a hair cut. So don't cut your hair, we will decide it on diwali. 

He didn't understand, what his mom meant "decided on diwali". Its his hair, he can do whatever he wanted to do with it. 

After the call, he looked at anjali angrily. He decided to remove his saree. 

Don't do that, if you do. I will post this on face book, said Anjali 

Deepak stopped immediately. He knows, his sister never bluffs. 

Deepak can't do anything. All he could do is wait till diwali for the "decision"

Note - It's a sequel to BY NEXT DIWALI story.  For the next few months Jaya noticed Kumari and Sudhakar going out in matching sarees and having fun together.  What surprised Jaya is that somehow Kumari convinced Sudhakar to get his nose pierced.  The day before Diwali, as expected Sumanth was shaving his beard. As he was fully concentrated, he didn't notice Neha standing near him. Just when he was shaving near the mustache, Neha pulled his hand a little.
